This is my 12th year teaching. I have taught everything from 5-8th grades. I love Science because the kids can learn with hands on activities. I feel Science isn't truly Science without labs as the labs teach the concepts in ways that the pictures in the books just can't. I am an auditory and kinesthetic learner, therefore I love doing labs and coming up with new and more interactive ways for the kids to show their understanding of our Science concepts.
I attended my first two years of High School at Billings West High, after which I moved to Saipan, a small island in the Pacific Ocean, where I finished out my High School and earned my BS in Education.
My husband, Richard Hoffman, works as a deputy sheriff. You will sometimes find him in class with me because he loves assisting me with some of the tougher labs.
My daughter, CJ, is a freshman at MSU Billings and has her heart set on becoming an elementary teacher with an endorsement in library science.
